EXECUTION WITHIN A TEAM
With teamwork execution, we need the ability to transfer tasks to and from others. Standard “personal” priority management approaches and tools are very poor at such task delegation. With such systems, a common approach is to pool tasks for a project team. However, task execution is about focus—‘noise’ from all the other tasks is a distraction. Additionally, it is critical that one (and only one) person must feel that they ‘own the task’. Group tasks are often left to the ‘other guy’ in the group.

Yet, in any group setting, I must know what has been delegated to me, what I have delegated to others and treat both as if I created the task for myself. The result is a need for a new type of ‘task action dashboard’ that consolidates and priorities important execution and minimizes noise distractions during the time that the focus is on execution.
